How we create, review, and maintain the content on Mediterranean Diet Lab.
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Our goal
We publish practical, beginner-friendly guidance on Mediterranean-style eating. Our aim is to be genuinely useful and honest: clear enough to act on, and careful not to overstate what food can do.
How content is created
Recipes, plans, and guides are developed by our editorial team and checked against reputable, mainstream nutrition sources. Where an article makes a specific health claim, we cite a credible reference alongside it.
Honesty about expertise
We never attribute content to fabricated experts or invent credentials. Named author and reviewer profiles are published only for real people as they join. Until then, content is attributed to our editorial team.
Health claims
We describe a general eating pattern and avoid medical claims. We do not promise weight loss or the prevention or treatment of any condition. See our medical disclaimer.
Products and independence
Our recommendations reflect what we believe is genuinely helpful. Where content contains affiliate links, we disclose them. See our affiliate disclosure.
Keeping content current
We review and update content over time. Each page shows when it was last updated, and we correct errors promptly under our corrections policy.
